Weird New Couple Alert!

George Lucas and Mellody Hobson!

From Page Six:

"At the Oscar "Night Before" party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday, "Star Wars" creator George Lucas had guests wide-eyed when he showed up with "Good Morning America" financial correspondent Mellody Hobson.

"They were definitely together - it was the oddest thing," said our source. The two have been seen in public together before, but it is not known if they're dating."

Looks like it to me..

Would it be less odd if she had blond hair, or brown hair?

I'm confused, why do they think it is odd?

Because he's an old fat aristocrat and she's young & hip! :)

It has nothing to do with their ages--it is because she is black, and that sucks that people still care. People may care less if it were a black man with a white woman, but people still assume this is "weird", and it isn't.

It wouldn't matter if they were peers with the same age, income, etc. I could totally see George Lucas dating say, Oprah. With the other differences between George and Mellody Hobson, it just seems like George is living out some creepy plantation fantasy.

Whatever it's not a black issue, they are just a weird looking couple! You can't tell me that they are a good looking couple because they arent!

I agree. People say things like this as if it's supposed to be obvious what the heck they're talking about. What's so "odd"?Two educated, successful people who seem to enjoy each other's company. Seems like a good fit to me!
