Rob Zombie is only months away from releasing his much-anticipated version of the 1978 classic, Halloween.
The official release date is August 31, 2007.

MTV asked Zombie,
"Talk about the plot of John Carpenter's 1978 classic versus the plot of your "re-imagining."
Zombie: "The plot is so simple [in the original]; it's this young kid Michael Myers," said Zombie. "We've changed it a bit - in the original, he kills his sister; then he's sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium, which he later escapes from as an adult; comes home and starts randomly killing babysitters. Later, in sequels, they made [his back story] more significant - but in the first one, it's pretty random ... I've added a lot more to it, and I've tried to make everything he did be motivated and justified in some way, so it's never random killing for no reason. There's a reason for everything."

Interview With American Idol's Gina Glocksen
Gina Glocksen told The Naperville Sun in an interview Thursday that she felt secure going up against Haley Scarnato on Wednesday's elimination show.
"I really was surprised. I wasn't expecting (the dismissal) so much. I was pretty secure with myself. I gave two pretty solid performances and the last thing on my mind was to be in the bottom three, let alone the bottom two."
It was the first time Glocksen had ever been in the bottom three.
"It was hard enough then, and it's harder to watch the video right after they announced it," she said. "To watch how I talked about singing and seeing how I talked then ... I just love singing. I know that no matter what I do, I've already done 'American Idol.'"
Glocksen said she isn't bitter about leaving Idol. But it seems that her friends are.
"Everyone is upset," said Sally Ann Bodine, who worked with Glocksen for about three years. "We all cried. We're sort of like 'you really can't believe that it happened.' It doesn't make sense." Some of her friends even say that they will never watch Idol again.
Gina said she would still to watch the show and that she would be voting.
"It's not in my character to really feel bitter," Glocksen said. "It is what it is. I've gotten over (Wednesday) night ... and I look forward to meeting my new fans."

Eddie Murphy may not be happy about the birth of his rumored daughter, but little Fortuna has already brought joy to her older sister.
Melanie Brown's daughter, Phoenix Chi gave her mother a big box of Cadbury's Flakes in celebration of her new baby sister.
Fortuna Daphne Bay was born just after midnight Tuesday, weighing only 5lb 4oz.
Ironically, she was born on her supposed father's birthday. Eddie Murphy turned 46 on Tuesday.
Joe Francis Refuses to Surrender to US Marshalls
Joe Francis has defied a federal judge, calling him a "judge gone wild" and refusing to surrender to U.S. marshals on a contempt citation.
U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak ordered Joe Francis into custody after settlement negotiations soured in a lawsuit brought by seven women who were minors when Francis' company filmed them on Panama City Beach. 
The 34-year-old Francis, who makes an estimated $29 million a year through the videos of girls exposing their breasts, drew the contempt order Wednesday after lawyers for the women said Francis threatened them during negotiations.
Francis told The Associated Press late Thursday that Smoak "had lost his mind." "This judge has gone as far as to call me the devil and an evildoer," he said. "It is a case of a judge gone wild."
Francis' attorneys appealed the order that would send him to jail; the court had not issued an opinion Thursday evening. Smoak denied a request by Francis to stay the order pending the appeal. Smoak refused requests for comment Thursday.

The diaries of Anna Nicole Smith are being auctioned off in a few weeks via 'Heritage Auction Galleries' in Dallas.
The journals were made available to the Associated Press yesterday.
Anna's first diary is a purple and green Hallmark hardback book. "This diary belongs to Vickie Smith. Do Not Read!", is written on the inside cover.
Anna talks in the diary about Paul Marciano who gave her the big break, husband Howard Marshall who was 63 years her senior, and she also wrote of her addictions.
June 13, 1992 - "Took a Zandrex!"
June 23, 1992 - "O my Gosh!! Paul Marsiano called today to see if I got his books also I'm gonna go to San Antonio to do photo shoot..I'm so excited!! I can't believe this. This could be it." :) :) :) :) :)
June 25, 1992 - "I'm so happy they look great. I hope it empresses Paul Marsiano. ... I'm starving!! I've been starving myself."

Heritage Auction Galleries bought the journals from an anonymous German businessman who purchased them and other items on eBay for more than $500,000 several weeks ago, the AP reports.
Opening bids will start a $20,000 and and may go as high as $100,000.

Notes: This was the record that brought the band their worldwide appeal. With material like "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "New Years Day" the record couldn't help but be a hit. Intelligent vocals, spare, thoughtfully placed guitar accents. Still a record to hold up for comparison with other classics. This was before the band grew too large for small crowds and fashion and a dance beat weren't part of the program. I believe that I've read that the cover subject was a neighbor of Bono's and it was a matter of the photographer just being in the right place to capture the shots. Excellent album and a great cover. Can't ask for more than that can ya?

The American Idol Sanjaya-thon Rolls On
After weeks of listening to the entire nation complain about and slaughter Sanjaya, I'm finally miffed about the teen heartthrob's endurance.
I really liked Gina and thought that she should have gone further. She has a strong voice, unique style of her own and is a great entertainer. But you don't want to hear me rant about how Sanjaya should have gone before her because that has been the case now for the entire season of the show. Why beat the dead horse.
I am bummed about Gina not only because Sanjaya and Gollum - I mean Phil Stacey - outlasted her, but because Haley Scarnato did as well.
Simon was right on when he said Haley has great legs. But man, Haley took that compliment and ran with it. Last night she wore a shorter skirt than her 'pageant' dress on Tuesdays show. I doubt we will be seeing her legs covered up anytime soon. She posed like a fashion model while on stage, her legs well oiled up, toe pointed forward, hip to the side.. Girlfriend knows where her meal ticket lies.
So back to Sanjaya. I am going to made a prediction that Phil and Haley may go before him.
Then after that I think the little bugger will finally be let go. I really can't see him getting more votes than Chris, Blake, Melinda, Lakisha or Jordin.
Our only problem is that Lady Luck happens to be a smitten Sanjaya fan. So anything is possible.

It can't be easy having paparazzi all over your ass when your on vacation and just want to let it all hang out.
You know how it is when you go to Hawaii, Mexico or the Caribbean. You eat an assload, drink tons of beer and sugary foo foo drinks and then swell up like a fricking tick. Such is the case of Rosanna Arquette.
The bathing suit is awful too. It looks like a sports bra and panties. Almost anything would have flattered her more than that tragedy of a suit.
