Eddie Van Halen is leaving rehab after a month-long stay.
Van Halen spoke publically to fans on his band's Web site last month:
"I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 percent that I feel I owe you and want to give you."

Whenever anything really bad happens around Korean people, that is when I would like to hide, go to Hawaii and eat spam sushi until it blows over. I don’t want to comment on it because I don't want to escalate the situation and I don't want to implicate myself in it. I don't want to 'come out' as Asian because therein lies a tremendous responsibility that I never volunteered for, that I don't have any real control over, and that is as mysterious to me as it is to someone who isn't Asian.
So here is the whole terrible mess of the shootings at Virginia Tech. I look at the shooter's expressionless face on the news and he looks so familiar, like he could be in my family. Just another one of us. But how can he be us when what he has done is so terrible? Here is where I can really envy white people because when white people do something that is inexplicably awful, so brutally and horribly wrong, nobody says – “do you think it is because he is white?” There are no headlines calling him the “White shooter." There is no mention of race because there is no thought in anyone's mind that his race had anything to do with his crime.
So much attention is focused on the Asian-ness of the shooter, how the Korean community is reacting to it, South Korea's careful condolences and cautiously expressed fear that it will somehow impact the South Korean population at large.
What is lost here is the grief. What is lost is the great, looming sadness that we should all feel over this. We lose our humanity to racism, time and time again.
I extend my deepest sympathies to all those who lost their loved ones, their children, their friends and family, in this unimaginable tragedy. I send them all the love I have in me, and I encourage everyone to do the same.
Britney Spears' Dad Blames Spears For Her Own Problems
Britney Spears' father has decided he has something to say about his daughter's wild antics a few months ago.
He blames Britney for her problems and rehab stint, and says that she blames everyone else including her family and her manager for her problems when she needs to step up and take responsibility for her own actions.
Right on dad. Sounds good to me. No one was twisting Britney's arm when she hung out with rat whore-Hilton and flashed her snatch to photogs, or when she shaved her head.
Jamie (Daddy) Spears defended Britney's former manager in an email written to PageSix.
"When Larry Rudolph talked Britney into going into rehab, he was doing what her mother, father and team of professionals with over 100 years of experience knew needed to be done," Spears writes. "She was out of control. Larry was the one chosen by the team to roll up his sleeves and deliver the message, to help save her life.
"The Spears family would like to publicly apologize to Larry for our daughter's statements about him over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, she blames him and her family for where she is at today with her kids and career. Larry has always been there for Britney. For this, we will forever be grateful to him."
Spears responded to PageSix about her father's remarks via her rep: "I am praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It's sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman's love. I am concentrating on my work and my life right now."
Britney obviously doesn't really respond to her dad's remarks, rather she flings mud back at him and plays the sympathy card. Face it Britney, daddy is right. You were a total mess and it was your own doing. Now you're burning bridges. Not a smart thing to do.
You should have just responded by admitting what a trainwreck you were and that you've gotten stronger than your problems. But you chose to pull a Lohan and shun your dad then tell everyone what a dick he is.
It's the cool thing to do. Everyone's doing it.

Sanjaya Malakar Speaks About His Time on American Idol
People Magazine talked with Sanjaya Malakar after his dismissal on last night's American Idol.
He spoke about being in the competition and having to to withstand the criticism that went with it.
People: What do you think turned the tide for you on Tuesday night?
Sanjaya: Honestly, I'm not a country singer. I think that that really took a toll on me. And I didn't have enough really strong performances to let people forgive me for that. Like, for example, LaKisha, she's not necessarily a country singer either, but she had enough strong performances to get her though – and I don't think I did.
What have you learned most as a result of being thrust into fame like this?
I think I've learned not to let any negativity get you – just to keeping on trucking, I guess. And try to find the positive in everything.
What would you say to Simon?
Well, from the beginning I think that Simon saw potential in me, and when I didn't fulfill that potential, he was kind of disappointed. So I just want to say to him that he's an amazing person, and what he does is awesome. He's very opinionated, but I learned more from him than anyone else while I was on the show.
Is it true that you had a habit of reading the online blogs to gauge your performance? What kind of an affect did that have?
Well, I read the blogs more to balance myself, because it was kind of impossible not to hear stuff, and often times it was negative. So I kind of balanced the negative and the positive just to keep my self grounded.
Was it frustrating for you that your hair got almost more attention than your singing?
No, because at a certain point, that had kind of became my thing. Because I think that everyone looks for something to grab on to with each contestant, so I feel like my hair was that for me.
With all the hair and the hats and everything, was your philosophy at a certain point just to go for broke?
My philosophy was just to stay true to myself and try to put my personality out there – and that's all.
You had the sense that the tide was against you. Did you ever consider quitting or dropping out in deference to your fellow singers?
Not at all, not at all. I was going to stay as long as I possibly could and just work every week and try to learn from everything that happened.
How did you react when Hillary Clinton was asked about you at a news conference?
I heard about that very briefly. And it's interesting because I had no idea how much impact the show has. I think it's interesting that someone like me, a 17-year-old Seattle boy, could have so much impact to get into the presidential debate.
What will you do next?
I'm definitely looking at a music career but I also want to venture into acting and modeling and possibly Broadway or something because I want to get the full entertainment business.
With the pros and cons of celebrity, are you thinking about getting a bodyguard?
Yeah, I'm definitely ready to hire a bodyguard. I'm actually looking to do that right now.

Selma Blair's Secret Rehab Stint
Selma Blair has secretly sought help from Promises rehab center, the same center that took in Britney Spears a couple months ago.
Blair checked into the rehabilitation facility last month.
Sources told the National Enquirer that Selma had been struggling with a drug problem previously and that it became worse after she split from husband Ahmet Zappa last year.
A friend said of Blair's progress, "She embraced what she learned at Promises and distinguished herself as a model patient."

American Idol Exeutive Producer Gives The Scoop On the Remaining Finalists
Entertainment Tonight spoke with the executive producer of American Idol, Ken Warwick, after the dismissal of Sanjaya Malakar.
ET: Do you think your numbers will suffer now that Sanjaya Malakar was voted out? Do you think people tuned in for the train wreck?
KEN WARWICK: To be honest, touch wood, we are big enough that the ratings don't actually bother us that much at this stage. We know that we are bigger than anybody else. We know we are up over last year. That is not likely to change. If [the ratings] dropped considerably, there would be a reason for us to agonize over them. If we got bogged down in the ratings, then we would be chasing ourselves around a tree, so we don't pay that much attention to it.
ET: Did Sanjaya cheapen the show?
KEN: Irrespective of what effect he [had] on the show, he was there because people at home voted for him.
ET: Because of the Sanjaya effect, would you ever considering splitting the vote like they do on "Dancing with the Stars," where the judges vote counts 50 percent?
KEN: No. I will never consider that. That is not a part of our format. As far as we are concerned, it is the public at home that picks the Idol. There has never been a case where they have never been able to skew the vote one way or another. We had 38 million votes this week. Even the biggest radio shows are a drop in the ocean and will not be able to sway the votes.
ET: What is your reaction to Ryan Seacrest supporting the contestants more this year?
KEN: I love it. One of the attractions, if you like, people say to me, "Why is this show so popular?" A very relevant point is that there is quite curt banter between the judges and Ryan. Ryan is always there to support the contestants no matter what the situation. He is not a judge. He is there to champion their song and the way that they sing it. If he feels they are being bullied by any of the judges, it is part of his mandate, "You step in there and you defend them, if you think it is right."
ET: Do you feel that the judges are steering voters toward Jordin Sparks?
KEN: I have to say, when they can, they always tell the truth. They have also been pretty supportive of Melinda Doolittle every week. I don't think it is any more than anybody else who is good. They call it the way they see it. Had they had any kind of agenda of making Jordin one of the frontrunners, they would have started earlier. In the past few weeks, she has impressed them. With all these shows, you find generally, it is the person who grows throughout the series that usually wins the benefit in the end of it. I think they realized the one contestant who has consistently grown -- Melinda has been good every week, Lakisha has been pretty good every week, but Jordin has grown. It gives them something to talk about. Jordin is someone who they can hook into it. It gives them more credibility.
ET: Do you think that Melinda is too mature to win the competition?
KEN: She is more mature, to be honest with you, but the fact of the matter is, it isn't my decision, it is the publics. If they think she is fine and they want to see her again and they vote for her, then she is going to be there. I long ago gave up worrying what my personal favorites were. Last year, I loved Kat McPhee. She was just a really, really talented all-arounder. I would have loved her to win, but it wasn't to be. There was somebody there that was a bit quirky and he was the winner. End of story. What I think is immaterial, really.

Nobody Wants The Lauren Conrad/Jason Wahler Sex Tape
TMZ has learned that SugarDVD, a porn company, has decided that they don't want the sex tape featuring "The Hills" star Lauren Conrad and "Laguna Beach's" Jason Wahler -- because of the Wahler's "severely disappointing" behavior.
According to a TMZ source, the tape is severely disappointing as well. The tape is reportedly "very vanilla" with "no hard core sex." The source adds that LC and Jason are basically "messing around."
SugarDVD says they are retracting their previous offer of $500,000 for the tape because of Wahler's recent arrest in Seattle.
"We refuse to support any person who feels that it is in any way acceptable to rattle off racial slurs and slanderous language about African-American people, homosexual people and the police department."
If you ask me SugarDVD are totally full of it. The tape must have been really lame otherwise they would have pursued it. Since when do they have morals?

Sanjaya Gave Us Something To Talk About
Sanjaya Malakar was finally voted off American Idol tonight.
But he certainly didn't lose.
Sanjaya has made his mark on pop culture history. With the crazy hairstyles, the soft spoken voice, and the hot sister. 'Sanjaya' became a household name in 2007. And the Ponyhawk, a new hairstyle.
Sanjaya was the inspiration for a slew of new websites, he was talked about on every major media outlet in the nation, and he made the girls cry.
Now that the door to American Idol has closed, I have a feeling many other doors will open for the kid. But not necessarily in the music industry..heh.

All celebrity gossip aside, I wanted to take this opportunity to once again send condolences to the students, as well as family and friends of the 32 victims.

Jenna Jameson's Cancer Scare
Us Magazine is reporting that In November 2004 Jenna Jameson went to the dermatologist to treat some veins on her back, and was shocked when the doctor discovered a misshapen mole that turned out to be malignant melanoma.
Then, before Jameson could go into surgery, a blood test revealed that she was two months pregnant. But her joy soon turned to sadness. The day after she received the happy news, the porn star miscarried, probably due to the stress of the cancer.
The following month, Jameson had the mole excised and has been 100 percent cancer-free ever since. In an exclusive interview, the 33-year-old devout Catholic (and author of How to Make Love Like a Porn Star) tells Us Weekly that she’s made peace with her heartbreak.
“If the pregnancy would have lasted, I wouldn’t have had the surgery,” she says. “So it was all in God’s plan.”

Dave Chappelle Keeps Them Laughing For 6 Hours Straight
Dave Chappelle broke the Laugh Factory's endurance record by performing on the comedy club's stage for six hours and seven minutes on Sunday.
"He was absolutely amazing, for six hours making people laugh," the club's owner, Jamie Masada, said Tuesday.
Masada said the previous record of three hours and 50 minutes was accomplished earlier this month by Dane Cook. But until then the mark had stood at two hours and 41 minutes since Richard Pryor set it in 1980.

In a bombshell world exclusive, The new issue of the National Enquirer publishes the stunning truth about the secret gay life of the world's most famous out-of-wedlock father.
"America doesn't know the whole story about Larry Birkhead," Kerrick, who's 38 and lives in Louisville, Ky., told the gossip magazine.
"He apparently had sex with Anna Nicole and fathered her baby, but there is no question: He also had sex with me!"
The two met at a cocktail party in Louisville around mid-2000 when Birkhead was a struggling real estate agent and writer, angling for a show business career in Hollywood.
"We were together for about two months and had sex eight to 10 times, always at my apartment. He often spent the whole night with me."
But Birkhead insisted on keeping their romance a secret. "I had been 'out' for a long time, but Larry was not out of the closet — and he was terrified about his family, who were devout Southern Baptists, finding out he was having a gay relationship," revealed Kerrick.
"He was especially afraid of his father finding out. He said, 'If my Dad knew about this, he would kill me!'
Birkhead's lawyers deny that he had a gay relationship with Kerrick, but Kerrick passed a rigorous polygraph test administered by a top-notch examiner.
And Kerrick says Larry didn't consider himself gay. "He was more comfortable saying he was bi-sexual," Kerrick told The ENQUIRER. "I never knew him to go out with women when we were together, but I found out after we broke up that he had been seeing women. "While Kerrick says Birkhead was inexperienced at gay sex, he found out later that he'd stolen Larry from another man!
Kitty Carlisle Hart Dies at 96
Kitty Carlisle Hart, socialite, actress, government oficial, Broadway performer, game show panelist, and opera singer has died at age 96, her son said Wednesday.
Christopher Hart said his mother contracted pneumonia over the Christmas holidays and had been fighting ever since.
"She passed away peacefully" at home, said Hart. "She had such a wonderful life, and a great long run, it was a blessing."

Lindsay Leaves Bathtub Running, Goes Clubbing?
You may have heard about Lindsay Lohan's West Hollywood condo and the serious damage she did to Harry Morton's condo one floor below.
Lindsay's condo flooded last month, soaking Harry's unit and causing extensive damage.
TMZ has found that contrary to published reports, the culprit was not a faulty pipe. According to the incident report, security officers at Sierra Towers went to Lindsay's unit, walked into the master bathroom, "and found the water overflowing in the bathtub." The security officer humbly wrote, "It seems that they left the faucet on. I turned it off."
Damages exceeded $150,000, and Morton wants Lohan to pay.
Lindsay's rep told TMZ Lindsay and her assistant, Jenny, were in New York on the night in question, but TMZ has video of Lindsay at an L.A. club that very night.

The woman has had this insanely large tumor growing in her abdomen for five years. She had been unable to afford medical care.
Doctors estimate that the growth is over 100 pounds.
There's light at the end of the tunnel though, local doctors have offered her free surgery to remove it.

Another favorite past time is freaking out his owner by running and hiding..some might call that a sense of humor. I call it pain in the ass.

Joel Madden's Blender Interview
When he’s not dating Hilary Duff or Nicole Richie, the Good Charlotte singer is either on the phone with his mom, tidying his house or hanging out with Black Wall Street.
Blender: People usually draw a self-portrait, Joel. You just wrote a bunch of words and letters.
Joel Madden: I’m a terrible artist. I can’t draw. I’m not very creative.
OK, we get the idea. So what did you write down?
I wrote out all the things that make me up. My initials; my band Good Charlotte; my clothing company; my production team; where I’m from originally—Maryland, Virginia, D.C.—my two crews, Black Wall Street and AMC. And I wrote, “I love my mom,” because I’m a mama’s boy.
How does a white punk from Maryland have a crew called Black Wall Street?
One of my best friends is the Game, a rapper, and that’s his crew. I’m an honorary member. I’m his son’s godfather. We live on the same street, we borrow each other’s cars. He has huge pool parties every other weekend. There’s valet parking, and it’s just an insane scene.
He was in the Bloods, and he sold drugs in Compton. What do you two have in common?
We have the same frame of mind. I always knew music was an opportunity to get out of a small town, make money, have a better life and take care of my mom. That’s why I related to hip-hop, because that’s what they rap about: opportunity.
Talk us through your worst haircut.
My high-school-graduation picture is pretty bad. I was into Green Day and Rancid, and I cut my hair real short and dyed it green and blue. I wasn’t going to graduate, and my mom was crying, so I went to night school with all the pregnant girls, to get my credits. I bleached my hair to look presentable for graduation, and it turned out orange.
So you really are a mama’s boy.
When I go home, she does my laundry and cooks for me. I call her every day. When I was out on the road and partying and stuff, my mom never knew. She’d read things sometimes and be like, “That’s not true!” And I’d be like, “Yeah, I don’t know why they wrote that, Mom. That’s not true.”
But it was true.
Yeah, sometimes.
If you were a woman, who would you want to be?
I’d probably want to be Oprah. Actually, no, Angelina Jolie. She gets to do whatever she wants.
What medication are you on?
Just coffee and cigarettes.

People have this misconception that I’m followed all the time by paparazzi, which I’m not. The only reason that’s ever been an element of my life is because of the women I’ve dated. This is kind of weird, but my friends call me JoelPac, or Pac. Like Tupac. I don’t usually tell people, because it’s like, “Who does this guy think he is?” Tupac’s my favorite rapper, and I know every word to every song.

$2.50? $2.99? $1.98? I don’t look at the prices. When I was growing up, we had food stamps. So now, when I go to the grocery store, I buy everything I want. I buy a quart of ice cream and I don’t even eat it sometimes.
What personal habit do you have that other people find annoying?
I need to have everything in its place—I have OCD. My friends will all be hanging out at my house and they’ll see me cleaning and organizing their shit, straightening it all. And they’re like, “Do you want us to leave?” Then, if they move something, I’ll stare at it while they’re talking to me. It’s really weird and obsessive.
Are you a genius?
No way. [Laughs] I’m a hard worker, that’s about it. There are a lot of geniuses sitting in their parents’ basements right now, playing video games.

This Weeks 'Bad Girls Club' on Oxygen
We ended last weeks episode with Zara making cupcakes for her roommates after tearing up her wrists for sympathy.
Wow, talk about bipolar.
Aimee was more than brash about the incident stating that would show her how to really 'do it', (slit her wrists). Not that we would expect anything else from her. All she does every episode is bitch and moan about everyone behind their backs.
Jodie convinced Zara to stay in the house and things moved on.
Kerry, the rat bitch country singer, and Jodie used to be great friends..until Deann moved in. Now Jodie is feeling like the third wheel and neither Kerry or Deann seem to really give a crap.
Deann and Steve, the wiry haired pool boy who always covers his bald spot up with a bandanna, have been hanging out a lot. Deann obviously has feelings for him until she sees him out clubbing and hanging all over some other chick. Deann goes on to hang all over some random guy (lamest trick in the book) hoping it will make Steve jealous.
The show wraps up with Steve going the extra mile to ask Deann for her forgiveness. Even if I think he's a putz, what he did to impress her at the end of the show was really cool. It HAD to have totally been staged.

Tonight's episode is all about Kerry and Jodie. Kerry heads to Nashville for a big meeting and Jodie wants out of the house. There will lots of drama, and most of it will be aimed at Jodie. Jodie and Joanna will bond, and surprisingly, Joanna will protect Jodie until the end..even when Jodie does something that shocks the house.

Britney Spears May Be Sued By Her Fired Manager
It is being reported that Britney Spears is facing legal action after firing her manager Larry Rudolph last Friday. 
Rumors have been swirling that Spears was upset at Rudolph for 'forcing' her into a rehabilitation center which resulted in a massive media frenzy.
Britney was also seen on a bizarre video making fun of her manager this past weekend.
Apparently Spears had a contract with Rudolph which she has broken, and will most likely end up in court.
Britney's PR aide Leslie Sloane Zelnik was unaware that Rudolph had been fired when contacted by PageSix early this morning.

It's being reported that Britney gave over half a million dollars to charities last year. Britney managed to donate $585,000 to various causes including Hurricane Katrina relief programs.

Lily Allen Cancels Most US Tour Dates

Hey Guys ,
I'm writing to tell you that I have cancelled many of my May and June tour commitments in America . The reason for this , is because my mummy and daddy are very rich , and I have never been in a position where i have actually had to do any hard work before . I thought that being a popstar meant going out getting trashed with famous people and sleeping in all day . The fact that this is not true has come as a huge dissapiontment to me , and as a result I am throwing the towel in .
No but seriously , I have been on tour with this album for a year now , I have fulfilled every commitment up to this point . I am tired , but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently . I have been getting really drunk because i've been so nervous about doing bad shows , and I don't want people spending money on a going to see a show that isnt the best it could be . I am not falling apart at the seems , I am not suffering with exhaustion , I am not pregnant , and I am not going to rehab . I will be here in America , promoting the album and also starting to write the second album , which I am beyond excited about . The LA and New York shows will still be happening , and I am still playing Coachella and Bonaroo and all the other festivals .
I'd like to apologise to anyone who has bought tickets , but you can get your money back , if you take 'em back to the place you bought them from .
Sanjaya's Hometown Refuses to Give Him His Own Day
Sanjaya’s hometown of Federal Way, Washington has no interest in recognizing him with his own day, unlike Blake Lewis who was awarded with his own day in his home town of Bothell, WA. April 11 has been named as Blake Lewis day.
It doesn't appear that the city of Federal Way will do the same for Sanjaya Malakar, despite his becoming one of America's current obsessions.
Q13 Fox reports, “That city's manager says Federal Way has more important things to deal with and won't push to give the 17-year old a proclamation.”
If I were Sanjaya, I wouldn't be too hurt. Federal Way is a real shit hole suburb of Seattle, so I believe that they do have other things to deal with. Things like armed robbery, car jackings and shootings.
And yes, I have been there.

The Virginia Tech Massacre
In case you haven't heard, there was a terrible shooting spree that took place this morning at one of the dorm's on campus and spread hours later to classrooms. 
33 people including the gunman are dead.
I just wanted to take a moment and express my condolences for the families and friends of the victims of todays shootings at Virginia Tech.

Brad and Angelina on the Verge of a Big Breakup?
That's the word on the street, but what truth is there to the rumor?
They say that every rumor has just a little bit of truth in it, so where's the kernel of truth in this story? Daily Mail finds out.
The following article is great, I had to publish it in it's entirety. Defintely worth a read...
She wants it all - babies, fame, and to save the world. But what she definitely doesn't want is marriage. So - could it be true? Is Angelina getting ready to dump Brad?
Sitting at a bar in the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood is a blond, good-looking man with well-chiselled features on an instantly recognizable face.
"You know what it's like to be on the cover of every magazine, having your personal life dissected with all the lies, all the rubbish?" he asks me. He takes a swig from a bottle of beer and says: "It's hell. Certainly, pick on me - but why pick on Angelina? That's so low. She's such an amazing woman - like Supergirl, in every way."
I had just happened upon Brad Pitt while walking through the hotel and went over to say hello. He was by himself, waiting for friends, and said: "I'm sorry if I seem to be taking my frustration out on you."
"So, how are things going with you and Angelina, anyway?" I ask. He smiles and replies: "Oh sure, like I'm going to talk to you about that."
His attitude isn't surprising in view of reports that Angelina Jolie is thinking about ending it with him after just a couple of years of unwedded bliss.
According to these stories, the actress recently left Brad to take care of their three adopted children, Maddox, five, Zahara, two, and Pax, three, and their own child, Shiloh, born barely a year ago, while she went to Chicago to work on a new movie called Wanted.
This was just a week after she had adopted Pax and told a newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he was adopted: "I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life."
Next month, she's due in Prague for more filming and will then hit the road to promote another movie, A Mighty Heart. Meanwhile, Brad is supposedly at his wits' end as he tries to figure out how to handle the huge and sudden responsibility of parenthood (despite the typical Hollywood team of nannies and other functionaries).
Reports have it that the passion between Brad and Angelina has cooled in the past year and she's very close to breaking up with him. Considering these two have been generating news stories for more than two years - ever since meeting in 2004 on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith - their break-up would be the biggest showbiz story of the year.
To discover the truth, I have contacted some of her friends and associates. According to one of these reliable sources, Angelina, 31, is adamant she wants to return to work and doesn't appear too bothered about how she balances her career with motherhood.
"She took a couple of years off doing her work as a goodwill ambassador for the UN, spending time with Brad and the kids. Now she wants back into movies. If it were up to Brad, I think she would not work for a while, but it's not up to him.
"She believes she can have it all and, as she once told me: 'I will have it all. Just wait and see!' As for the headlines about her and Brad, she's used to controversy. It doesn't bother her much."
That is certainly true. The first time I met Jolie was in 2001 at a reception for her movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. She was wearing a flowing black gown with a plunging neckline which, along with her long, raven-coloured hair and heavy eye make-up, made her look more like a creature of the night than a movie star.
Seeming dark and enigmatic, she flirted openly with the male reporters. I couldn't help but wonder whether certain rumours about her were true. For instance, there was a lot of speculation at the time that she and her brother, James Haven, were in an incestuous relationship.
Why? Because when she won her Golden Globe in 2000 for Girl, Interrupted, she actually made out with him backstage, her arms around his neck, her lips all over his. It was pretty creepy. When I tackled her, she simply asked with an arched eyebrow: "Do I look like the kind of woman who would have sex with her own brother?"
I answered: "Well, I don't know what that kind of woman looks like."
"Exactly," she countered. Then, as she drifted off, she looked over her shoulder and winked at me. Confirmation or denial? I wasn't sure. One thing was certain, though: I'd never had a stranger moment with a celebrity.
It's interesting how her image has since changed. Today, Angelina Jolie is thought of as a philanthropic woman concerned about poverty-stricken countries and the adoption of disadvantaged children. As a UN ambassador, she is respected for donating money for hospitals and shelters.
Certainly, Pitt's status was elevated just by his association with her. "She's expanded his horizons," says a friend from his home state of Missouri. "He's a totally different man. It's like he's living with Mother Teresa now as she ministers to the poor, the sick, the orphaned."
Not long ago, it definitely wasn't Mother Teresa who sprang to mind when one thought of Angelina Jolie. In 1996, when marrying her first husband, British actor Jonny Lee Miller, she used her own blood to paint his name on the white shirt she wore at the ceremony.
Then, in keeping with her vampire image, she wore a vial full of the blood of her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton, around her neck.
She also admitted to being fascinated by knives, corpses and mortuary science (she took embalming classes in Los Angeles at the age of 15!) and said she was fascinated with sado-masochistic sex.
Talking of her first sexual relationship, she said: "I brought knives out and we had a night where we attacked each other. It was so primitive and it felt so honest. But then I had to deal with not telling my mother - and wearing bandages to high school."
She also said she was bisexual, admitting to an affair with actress Jenny Shimizu, who later observed Jolie "has a very dominant personality".
It's remarkable that Angelina has managed to reinvent herself, but what makes this process even more astonishing is that she achieved it at a time when many people blamed her for Brad ending his popular marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
There had been persistent rumors that Jolie and Pitt were romantically involved when the Friends actress announced her marriage to Brad was over. Less than a month later, Pitt and Jolie were photographed frolicking on the beach. But while the reputation of being "the other woman" might have destroyed the careers of some actresses, the scandal didn't even dent Jolie's image.
Remarkably, she has prospered using her own instinct and without a publicist. That is a rarity in Hollywood - a star who doesn't have at least one lackey to clean up private messes for public consumption.
Above all, she uses the media to her advantage. People close to her have revealed that she carefully orchestrates many of the photographs taken of her. She calls paparazzi and tells them where she'll be, and even asks for copies if she likes the photos.
Typical was when she collected her adopted son, Pax, from the Tam Binh Orphanage in Vietnam. A few days later, she staged photos of herself, Pitt and the kids and sold them to magazines for millions of dollars - then gave all proceeds to charities.
Her attitude was that the magazines would manage to get their own pictures in due course and she said privately: "I may as well control how they get them, make them pay and use the money for a good purpose."
Tellingly, an executive on the Hollywood magazine Variety said: "Nowadays, she is perceived as somewhat saint-like - a woman who only wants to do good in the world. When you're in her presence, she's so serene, you'd feel like an idiot asking a dumb question such as: 'So, did you break up Jennifer Aniston's home?'"
On the rare occasion when she has been forced to explain what happened with the Pitt-Aniston marriage, she has come across as most self-possessed. "To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife," she said.
Only in January 2006, when Angelina was clearly pregnant, did she confirm she was carrying Pitt's child.
But then came the problems. "It's been downhill from there for them," said one of the couple's intimates. "It was too much too soon, especially for Brad. They're bickering an awful lot these days. They're like an old married couple with kids - and they never even got married."
According to Jim Cruse, who has known the actor for many years: "Brad always said he wanted a family. But you should be careful what you ask for. He got four kids in two years, all under the age of six. It's no picnic.
"Angelina is great with the kids - she loves her children. But they both still want to make movies."
Cruse says the couple are helped by being able to take the children to a day-care center in nearby Burbank when they are working in Los Angeles.
Indeed, security at the popular Bright Horizons center is at an all-time high now that the Jolie-Pitt brood is enrolled. Other parents are asked not to use mobile phones to ensure they don't take pictures of Pitt, Jolie or their children. "So it's not as if either Brad or Angelina is chained to the house with a bunch of screaming kids all day," says Jim Cruse.
Still, a friend of Jolie's seemed to suggest that Angelina could get out of the relationship easily if she chose: "She's been married twice before. She knows she's not the marrying kind, which is why she hasn't married Brad.
"He's much more domesticated. He'd marry her in a second if that's what she wanted. She doesn't. So, if it ends, I think she could extricate herself without too much trouble."
Her friends well remember, of course, when Angelina and Billy Bob Thornton were so inseparable it seemed impossible she would ever leave him. Yet that marriage ended very suddenly. Angelina explained that she "woke up one day and felt differently, and that was the end of that".
Added Jim Cruse: "I don't think she's ever really been content. If you ask me, this thing about her 'wanting it all' is just another way of saying she's never happy. The truth is that she makes no excuses for who she is. She thinks of herself as a survivor."
Angelina Jolie is a survivor. Although she comes from a broken home, it made her more resilient. She's made a fortune in a tough, cut-throat business and with her professional reputation still intact: she's well-regarded among her peers.
Her manager, Geyer Kosinski, vehemently denies she is placing her career over her family. "Angelina worked a total of only 35 days last year and is currently scheduled to work 40 days this year."
However, others in her camp tell a different story. They say she's got four more movies on the horizon: two this year - Atlas Shrugged, an adaptation of the Ayn Rand novel, and The Changeling, a drama directed by Clint Eastwood - and two more next year. Will she be able to manage it all - busy career and hectic home life? Who knows.
"Brad would be devastated if the relationship ended," concludes Jim Cruse. "She's a lot tougher than he is. She would see to it that he gets to see the kids because they think of him as their father. Then she'd just get on with her life."
Such thoughts make her out to be rather cold. But maybe that's how it has to be when a woman who wants it all is faced with the possibility of not being able to have it that way.
In trying to balance everything - movie star career, "husband", family life - something might have to give and probably - hopefully, anyway - it won't be the kids.
"But what's going to happen when she's left alone with a whole bunch of children and no man?" asked one concerned friend of the actress. "Is she finally going to be happy then? She'll have her independence, sure. But then what?"

JON VOIGHT: I'm interested in talking about this, but it's been so politicized, it's very disturbing, very dangerous. My view of it is this: they say our president lied to us. Well, he didn't lie to us, everybody else had the information he had, and they voted for that tactic.
So I imagine you're a supporter of the Patriot Act?
Yes, I'm a supporter of the Patriot Act. I support protecting us and investigating anyone who indicates they're going to be dangerous to our country. It's one of those things; it depends on which side you're on politically. If we had these things in place we could have anticipated 9/11. We're not interested in investigating someone who's doing something appropriate. We don't have time for that. That's nonsense. I certainly hope we're paying close attention to all those people crossing our borders who might be dangerous to us. We know for sure there are cells in the United States that are ready to erupt. We know that Hezbollah is here; we know there are cells from different terrorist organization that are here and operational and that there are others waiting too. So listen, it's a serious business. It's wartime, guys. Because we don't have a continuous attack on our shores, we can get complacent. We've got to all be alert now, we've got to be a part of it and be supportive of our troops for sure.
Even if you disapprove of the war, it seems pretty clear that simply pulling the troops out might not be the best option.
More than that, the war does not end. When we look around and see the evidence of what is being done and the preparations that are being made to disrupt our country and to destroy it. This growing cancer of fanaticism, it's like 1938it's very, very similar.
To the Third Reich?
Yeah.
Islamic fundamentalism?
Whatever you call it, the things that are being said are very similar. It's a matter of whether we recognize that or go into a cocoon and make our own little drama. Do you know what I'm saying? We're debating things instead of recognizing that the real fundamental aspect is that we're at war with a very vicious, very clever enemy.
The press has been unkind about your relationship with Angelina Jolie over the last few years. One recent item had you flubbing the name of one of her daughters.
What! Flubbed the name?
Do you have any response?
No, listen, I haven't been in touch with the kids and I would love to be spending time with them, that's all. I have nothing to say, people want to make news out of everything. It's just a cruel slap at somebody and it becomes a part of our mythology, we can't correct it. I don't want to bring attention to it again. It always hurts me when things are brought back to the fore that are distorted. I send my love to Angie and her family.

Pstrick Dempsey Talks to People About His Twins Boys
Jillian and Patrick Dempsey welcomed twin boys into their world 10 weeks ago. 
Although the twin boys are only a couple of months old they already have "distinct personalities," Patrick says.
"Sullivan is very funny – he has funny expressions in the way he's taking things in – and Darby is very reserved and quiet."
When asked how his 5 year old daughter Talula is handling the newest family additions he said,

Britney Spears is still undergoing her strenuous dance rehearsals and was seen again this weekend on her way to Millenium Dance Studio.

Ed Norton to Play 'Incredible Hulk'
Norton is set to play The Incredible Hulk
Norton will take over the role from Eric Bana.
The latest version of the Hulk will be less serious than the last and more like the comic book hero, according to Marvel. The movie's plot will be based on on Bruce Banner, the Hulk's human half, and his efforts to cure the condition which transforms him into the green monster.
Co-producer Kevin Feige said the film would be "a fun, high-octane event", adding "we could not be more excited about this project".
Spicy is not a big fan of Marvel Comics movies, but I will say that any movie with Ed Norton in it is a movie I'll watch.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in Maui
Pam and Tommy are still relaxing on the beaches of Maui.
It seems the years of hard living are catching up to these two. Pam doesn't have quite the body that she used to, not that she doesn't look great for her age.
Tommy looks rough as hell, nothing new. He shows what a class act he is by digging in his nose for the photographers.

Britney Spears Speaks With X17 This Weekend
I don't think anyone questions Britney's sanity these days.
We all know she has her moments of clarity.
This weekend Britney decided to speak with an X17 photographer on a few different occasions. In the first video Britney spoke in a high pitched, valley girl-like voice. She was obviously mocking the media and everyone for buying into it. She even used the opportunity to take a jab at her management.
I think she was trying to be funny and snide, but it really came across as being juvenile.
In the second video you get to hear the photographers side of the story and why Britney chose him to talk with.
The there's a third video but it is pretty uneventful.
Wasn't Britney attacking X17 photogs with an umbrella not so long ago?
